A beautiful princess falls for a lowly pauper. It's an inescapable, tired cliche to be sure, but somehow Princess Garnet and the thief Zidane make us fall in love all over again.

Garnet and Zidane truly grow throughout their journey, and their developing relationship grows right on with them. Although there's certainly a crush involved, the story concentrates on their constant support for one another and the emotional growth they experience--together and as individuals coming into their own. As a result, their relationship overcomes the standard case of puppy love to become something players can rally behind. We feel like these two truly deserve each other by the time the big finale rolls around.

I'm not a "couple shrine" person. In fact, the acronym "OTP" alone makes me sick with thoughts of bad fanfiction and self-indulgent fanon.

Nevertheless, here I am, proudly declaring my love for Garnet and Zidane (with a little help from the fanlisting's previous owner Mikomi).
